Fragrance review: Prada Infusion D’Iris

I first smelled this one a couple days ago at a Nordstrom Fragrance Festival and I liked it-but not enough to buy it. I revisited it today and realized that my nose was probably just overstimulated at the event and I had almost missed out on a definite keeper. The scent itself is starts as a light refreshing Iris, floral blend lovely and very summery, although I had a few moments where I felt like I was wearing bathroom air freshener. It settles to be a light Iris floating above a base of complex insence, resin and wood. It is a light fragrance-not usually my cup of tea, however I found Infusion D’Iris to be stimulating and invigorating. Unlike Burberry’s The Beat, my last adventure into the world of light summer scents, Infusion D’Iris is complex enough to satisfy my thirst to smell individual, yet light and refreshing enough for 90 degrees and high humidity. Nordstrom has a great gift set right now, including 1.7 ounces each of EDP and lotion, and it is also available discounted from many online retailers.

How to: Navigate Nordstrom Rack

Nordstrom Rack should be the holy grail for smart savvy shoppers; hot Nordstrom clothes, accessories, shoes and more usually less than half price and often less than a season old, who could ask for more? But too often shoppers get frustrated by the masses of other people and racks of clothes to sort through and end up leaving irritated and empty handed. Although stores like the Rack are always hit or miss, there are several ways that shoppers in the know can increase their chances of scoring a great deal at Nordstrom Rack with a little patience and strategy.

Know when to shop: Tuesdays are the big shipment day, so racks will be less picked over if you come close to Tuesday. Weekday evenings and mornings tend to be the least crowded times. By Monday, you might as well skip it after a weekend of bargain hungry shoppers snapping up all the good stuff.
Know where to look: Nordstrom tries to help you out by marking new arrivals with signs and planting them in the front of the store. Always check these areas out, however also always at nearby racks, as sometimes items get misplaced when customers hastily put things back. Additionally, regardless of season, you should always check out the dresses, jeans, outerwear, and swimsuit sections. A lot of the time the good stuff stays in these areas longer because the racks aren’t marked with the brand names.
Don’t come with a mission: Nordstrom Rack is a bad place to go if you need a dress for tonight, a swimsuit for your vacation tomorrow, or green shoes to match that dress. The chances of finding the perfect thing are way better at the real Nordstrom, another department store, even Target. It’s a great place if you come looking for good deals on things that you will use, even if they aren’t exactly what you need.

Hi guys!

This is my first post and I’m really excited! This is just a little project of mine. I always go shopping with my friends and love to suggest cute shoes/great deals/fabulous dresses/gorgeous fragrances, basically everything they have to have!
